Thank you, Dodge County Community, for your support.

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul of Dodge County (SVdP) wishes to thank our community for their support in responding to the two major disasters in Beaver Dam this past spring. The Village Glen tragedy displaced the residents of fifteen apartments, and the Third Street Executive Apartments’ fire displaced residents of another fifteen apartments. Because of the generous donations received from the citizens of the Dodge County Community and beyond, we were able to be part of the overall effort to support those impacted by these tragedies.

Your support allowed us to provide immediate housing at local motels, gift cards, clothing, food, personal hygiene needs and child care items. After the immediate needs were addressed, we then assisted with securing replacement housing. Household items, mattresses, and furniture needs where also given as needed. Fund raising efforts furnished direct financial assistance to help cover the many costs associated with the losses suffered. Through direct contact with those that we served, we attempted to offer moral and spiritual support during these difficult times. All monetary donations received, remained in our community and 100% of those donations were used to assist those in need.

To date, our local St. Vincent de Paul Society has provided over $95,000 and over 1000 hour of volunteer service in combined assistance to 52 of our neighbors impacted by these stressful events. While SVdP coordinated the assistance, it was the generous response from our caring community that provided the means to help those in need. We were overwhelmed by your response and are very grateful.

Thank You,
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul of Dodge County.
